March 2026: Freedom, Renewal, and Nervous System Resilience

March carries the feeling of transition. Winter begins to loosen its grip, days get longer, and we start thinking about growth again. It’s a natural reset point, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. From a chiropractic perspective, this is a powerful time to talk about freedom. Freedom of movement, freedom from tension, and freedom from the stress patterns that quietly shape our health.

This month’s theme is inspired by The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer: learning to observe the mind rather than being controlled by it. When we apply that concept to health, we see how much of our physical tension is tied to internal stress, unprocessed emotion, and chronic mental noise.

Chiropractic Review: Releasing Tension at the Root

The spine is not just a structural column, it is a protective channel for the nervous system. Every stress we experience (physical, chemical, or emotional) has the potential to influence how our nervous system functions.

Many people carry tension patterns that aren’t purely mechanical. They brace their shoulders when overwhelmed. They tighten their jaw under pressure. They hold shallow breathing when anxious. Over time, those patterns become automatic. The body adapts to stress by stiffening.

Chiropractic adjustments help restore motion and reduce neurological interference, but true resilience comes from pairing physical care with mental awareness. When we become conscious of the internal dialogue driving tension, we create space. And space is where healing begins.

March is about releasing what we’ve been holding both physically and mentally.

📖 The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer
The Untethered Soul explores the idea that we are not our thoughts—we are the awareness behind them. Singer walks readers through how to observe mental patterns without becoming entangled in them.

Health connection for March: If stress is constant mental engagement, then healing requires intentional disengagement. The more we can witness our thoughts without reacting, the less chronic tension we store in the body.

Key takeaway: Freedom is not about controlling every external variable. It’s about changing your relationship to what happens internally.

5 Factor Health Challenge: Release and Reset
Each week, focus on one small action in each category:

Eat: Slow one meal per day. No phone. Chew thoroughly. Notice when you’re full.

Sleep: Spend five minutes breathing slowly before bed (inhale 4 seconds, exhale 6 seconds).

Train: Add one dedicated mobility session per week (10–15 minutes focusing on hips and thoracic spine).

Think: When you notice stress rising, pause and ask: “Can I relax my shoulders right now?”

Connect: Spend 20 minutes outside in natural light at least three times per week.

Small releases create long-term resilience.

Final Thought

While we cannot always control what life brings us, we can control how tightly we hold it. March is your opportunity to release stored tension, move with intention, and create space for growth. Freedom begins within and your body reflects that freedom every day.
